THE DANZIG CHRONICLES: DANZIG (1988)

The time has come at last, dear listener! The prophecy has been fulfilled and the Chronicle of Danzig has begun! This momentous occasion marks our dear Uncle Glenn's triumphant return to TRAPPO with the beginning of The Danzig Chronicles! The chronicle begins with a deep dive into their 1988 debut album, DANZIG! We told you this was going to happen, didn't we? We actually deliver on our promises sometimes. So this is it. Listen to our first chapter of the glorious Danzig Chronicles below, or find our show on Apple, Pocket Casts, RadioPublic, Spotify, Spotify Spotify, and Amazon, so choose your own adventure and hail Satan!

Join the conversation! Or perhaps I should say "begin the conversation", based on the amount of comments we've been getting as of late. I'm not bitter, dear listener. Just incredibly lonely. So be a pal and leave a comment below. Tell us what you think of Glenn Danzig's music. Have you heard 1988's DANZIG? How awesome do you think it is? Share your thoughts in a lovely comment, which we may read on a theoretical future episode of TRAPPO's Mail Bag, which is a pretty high honor. You could also share your thoughts in an email if that's more your speed. You can CLICK HERE to do that, which we would definitely appreciate. TRAPPO is also on Threads, so just CLICK HERE to follow us there and we can be best friends forever.

Thanks for listening, and don't expect another episode of The Danzig Chronicles any time soon, because we've got other stuff on our plate for the foreseeable future. But the Chronicle will return eventually, so stay tuned. In the meantime, why don't you just hang out and listen to whatever we release next week? It might be good. You don't know yet. So just come back next week and we can do this little dance once again.

  1. This was a decent walk down memory lane. I appreciated the context with the PMRC and all that. I had to listen to DANZIG for the first time in a good long while after listening to the episode, and it holds up a lot better than I remembered. This is a damn fine album. I can't wait for the next chapter, although I suppose I'm going to have to...

  2. I didn’t know anything about the pmrc stuff because I wasn’t born yet. I didn’t know things got so weird back then. But I guess there are always going to be ignorant people who want to ruin other people’s lives.

    1. True enough. Moral crusaders who think they know better are never going to go away. They're like herpes, if herpes could lobby lawmakers.
