The time has come at last, dear listener! The time for the greatest music awards show of the year! It's time for the 2024 TRAPPO Music Awards! Yes, it's April, but good things come to those who wait, like the winners of this year's prestigious TRAPPYs! 66.6 KTRP presents this year's very special broadcast, hosted by Gore and Carey, The Gruesome Twosome! STATE OF THE PODCAST UPDATE

Spotify has targeted TRAPPO once again with multiple copyright violations, despite our podcast falling squarely under Fair Use, but I have spent the past week re-editing and re-uploading twenty-five episodes in an effort to comply with the platform's absolute bullshit policies. I have chosen to dispute three of the episodes that were flagged, but who knows what's going to happen next? By the end of the weekend, those three episodes may be gone, all twenty-eight flagged episodes may be gone despite my best efforts, or the entire podcast may be pulled from circulation once again, and this time I may not be able to get it reinstated. 

I don't know what's coming, dear listener. I honestly have no idea. But I am so tired of this bullshit. I shouldn't have even edited the episodes I re-uploaded, because those episodes fall under Fair Use, but I can't hope to dispute twenty-eight episodes with Spotify. That's impossible. I don't have a team of lawyers and unlimited time and resources, so I had to make some compromises, despite my disgust with having to censor these episodes. But that may not be enough. My biggest fear is that this process will be automatically re-triggered every time I upload a new episode, and if that's the case, then there's no reason to continue making this podcast moving forward. I can't keep tilting at this particular windmill. So this might be the final episode of TRAPPO, and it might not even exist in forty-eight hours. So enjoy it while you can.
