  1. This movie sucked. Too wimpy to go full on erotic horror. A few good gory bits, but not enough. Pretty poor acting from most of the actors. The Asa guy had no charisma. The CG smoking was lame and distracting. It never went “full Gordon”, like it was afraid to embrace itself and just go completely off the rails. I’d give it an A for effort, but I don’t reward failures.

  2. I hate to be a negative Nellie, but Suitable Flesh just isn't a very good movie. It feels really cheap and looks kind of tawdry throughout. And not tawdry in a sexy way. Just like a Dollar Tree version of a "real" movie that might sound appealing when you read the flavor text, but then you watch it and just wonder why you wasted some of your valuable time on this dumb thing. I know Joe Lynch can make a good looking movie, since Mayhem is solid stuff, but this just looks flat and generally unappetizing. And the story feels like it keeps pulling its punches time and time again. It doesn't push the erotic horror element enough, or the actual horror, and none of the characters are very well realized. And the chanting thing working at the end of the movie despite the evil entity not even being in the same room as the victim is just sheer laziness. Suitable Flesh is a bad movie. Sometimes it's okay to call a movie out for being bad.

    1. You know if Stuart Gordon had managed to make the movie it would have been so much better.

  3. (Once again, Blogger is preventing a listener from leaving a comment on the blog. This shit is getting old. I apologize to the anonymous commenter for this snafu, and here is your original comment, reproduced in full)

I saw this movie on The Last Drive In a few weeks ago and thought it was a bad horror movie and a poor excuse for an erotic thriller. How did Joe Bob give it four stars? You guys were too kind to this crap movie. The movie's just a shrug emoji. It's a long string of shrug emojis.
