Orville Peck's "Pony" (2019)
Welcome back to the show that talks about stuff on purpose! This time around, we're discussing an album that was released back in 2019, those innocent days before a pandemic drove half the world insane. In April of that bygone year, surrealist neo-country artist Orville Peck unleashed his debut album, Pony, upon an unsuspecting world, and nothing would ever be the same. Okay, some things were the same, but Pony was (and remains) a really good album that still resonates with a lot of people out there in that broken old world, and that's why we're talking about it on this chilly December day. So you're welcome, dear listener. You can listen to it below, or find TRAPPO on Spotify, Spotify for whatever, Pocket Casts, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon, so choose your own adventure and join the big gay rodeo!
(There are some unfortunate audio issues baked into the original files that I've mitigated to the best of my ability, but it still doesn't sound as good as our usual stuff, so fair warning -D)
Do you want to listen to Pony? Of course you do. Check out the handy embed below or support Orville Peck directly by visiting his Bandcamp page HERE!
Feedback! Engagement! All of those good things! We need it. We crave it. And you have to give it to us. Just scroll down a bit and leave us some comments. Tell us what you thought of the latest episode, Orville Peck's music, and whatever else is on your mind. Suggest new things to us if you feel like it. We're waiting for you to tell us what's cool. And if you want to share your thoughts in a more verbose manner, CLICK HERE to send us those thoughts in a lengthy email, which we will quickly read and maybe respoind in a semi-timely manner. But probably not. We're also on Threads. That's where all the cool kids are these days. Threads. Not BlueSky. Not TikTok. Not... what's cool? Is MySpace still a thing? I have no idea. All I know is that TRAPPO is on Threads, so if you'd like to follow TRAPPO on Threads, then CLICK HERE to follow TRAPPO on Threads. You probably won't regret it, but we can't guarantee that, so proceed with caution.
Thanks for listening!
